She's going after Obama in ways that are somewhat effective and in ways that are not. I just don't think Americans buy this Obama hates America, Obama wants our troops to lose and Obama is evil line anymore. When you think back on Invesco field, that was full of incredibly patriotc Americans who all lover their country. It wasn't the "liberal elite" it was everyday people with everyday problems. I also don't understand why she's attacking the community organizer bit, that appeals to the base, but aren't church leaders community organizers? Aren't the people they talk about in terms of faith based organisations "community organizers"? I don't get how you can claim you are for faith based community service and then bash community organizers as they tend to be the ones at the forefront of community service groups. Which is it? Is service good or not?

Good Points: The attacks will get undecided independents thinking again, that's good. She sounded decent enough on energy, as she should coming from Alaska. And she told her story well. I am very curious how this plays. It's strong in some ways, but I don't see what kind of productive work the speech is doing to expand the McCain electorate.
