Re: Palin Speech

You also can't run before you walk. There may be alot of reasons why executive experience is better for an in-coming President (though I think the vast differences between Bill Clinton and George Bush's Presidencies actually indicate that it's a bit of a wash). But this speech is once again, showing the Republicans don't get it about the electorate. People are tuning into this speech to learn ABOUT Sarah Palin, the vast majority of Americans don't know taco about her. And so, while her experience may be vast and extensive and greater than Obama's it's a bit odd to have an unfamiliar politician telling you they are more experienced than one you've gotten to know over the last year and a half, even if you haven't been following the election. I don't know if they thought how this would play at home to everyday Americans past the opening section which was her bio.

And yes the Veep is supposed to be an attack dog, but Joe Biden did not attack McCain's life and biography, Palin went after him real personally. And do you really want to energize Democrats. You're trying to appeal to them I would think. I don't know...odd.

Yesterday, John McCain actually said that if he’s president he’ll take on, and I quote, 'the old boys’ network in Washington.' I’m not making this up. This is somebody been in Congress for 26 years, who put seven of the most powerful Washington lobbyists in charge of his campaign. And now he tells us that he’s the one who’s gonna take on the old boys' network,” he said. “In the McCain campaign that’s called a staff meeting!- Obama, 9/17/2008
