Palin gave an excellent speech. I will admit that I am impressed.

I think that she will do fine through this campaign. She's not going to back down from anyone, and she makes her own points very effectively. She is an asset to the Republican ticket.

But, as good as she seems to be, it won't make any difference. The problem with the McCain-Palin ticket was never in the number two spot. and even a likeable, feisty "hockey mom" can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
