Tonight is a good night for the base and for Palin, but the real test will come if the McCain team can let her loose so she can talk to the media one on one. If they continue to protect and hide her, that will become the issue. Her biggest test will be that debate against Joe Biden next month, but I imagine we can already predict what it will look like; very partisan, talking points from both sides. Like any newcomer, all she'll have to do, like Obama against McCain, is rise to the lowest level of competency in her debate to do well that night.
