The press corps had nothing to do BUT say it was a stellar speech they had been blackmailed by the "liberal bias" claims so any negative criticism would be ignored. Also, the press corps loves partisan hackery so of course they would love the speech. Remember when people all over the press were criticing Hillary Clintons speech because it was all about her...and now Hillary voters are backing Obama at much higher rates than they were before? Mark my words, this speech appealed to the party faithful, but not to Independents.
