Unfortunately none of this will get discussed since both camps have relaxed into the classic US political discussion.

Obama's camp will keep saying that McCain is 4 more years of Bush. Looking from the outside, McCain doesn't look or sound like Bush.

McCain's camp will say that Obama is inexperienced. Looking from the outside Obama looks no more inexperienced than any other politician from a "new generation" trying to break into the club ruled by a previous generation.

As long as both sides concentrate on single line attacks which have nothing to do with what their policies are but only to do with their choice of "weakness" attack on their opponent no interesting debate will happen.

I totally agree with your comments but they will fall on deaf ears on both sides.
