If the democrates focus on the issues economy housing crises middle class fianancial situation last eight years Bush and so on and on...... they will win this time and with a comfortable margin.
For example the argumentation line used in my post. They just have to tell the people that the republicans do simply not deserve another four years afte rthe last eight.

Mc Cain has a much tougher job here. At least he inspired the republican base and this was not easy for him given the fact who he is. But as said he can not have a real discussion on the main issues or he will lose. There is no doubt about that. It´s a democratic year and mood within the US. If Mc cain wins he made a unbelivable good job.
