I never said we did, and it shows the paucity of your 'argument' to maintain that I did.

As it is, you don't. Bush had to have hearings, had to convince the Senate to vote for him and convince 30 other countries. And he didn't go to them and say, "Look, we gotta do this because God told me to." There were many hoops he had to go through and if the only reason was becuase of his religious beliefs, believe me, we wouldn't be in Iraq. Do you see the reality of the situation yet?

Irregardless: he stated that he talked to god, and he maintains that god told him to do this. Where are we now? Iraq.
Was political pressure a part of that? You bet, and no one is maintaining otherwise. Were the times more or less unique in our history? You bet.
