In Africa tribal ties are everything. Their lives are centered around their tribal chief and their tribe. They hold the important members of their tribe in high regard.

Often disputes between tribal leaders become wholesale disputes between tribes. This was the problem in Moghadishu in 93' when I was there and still is today. Today Al Qaeda has a strong hold there.

Muslims are killing Christians in the Sudan and there is outright genocide going on.

Did you know that many of the slaves that came from Africa hundreds of years ago were tribal members sold into slavery by their chiefs because they wouldn't convert to Islam?
