Capitalism does not teach one to be cut-throat. Capitalism teaches one to be profitable. American business is realizing a well-cared-for employee and customer base results in higher profits.

Disagreed. While there may be some that teach one position in a classroom, the experiences of capitalism teach something else. Since the vast majority of participants in the market never see that classroom, the teachings therein create little impact on the market.
