Has anyone observed how easy it would be for terrorists to pull off a Mumbai style attack on the US? All they would have to do is get hold of an old freighter and cruise down the coast about 13 miles out, dropping off armed groups in Zodiacs off port towns.

Considering the underfunded state of our Coast Guard and our Navy's inability to stop pirates off Somalia, it is doubtful such an attack would even be detected until it was successfully underway.

Of course, the attackers would have no hope of getting away, but that is no problem to Islamic suicide jihadis.
