There is very little chance we'd ever go into a Venus state.
From realclimate:

The runaway greenhouse that presumably led to the present Venus is an extreme form of the water vapor feedback that amplifies the effect of CO2 increases on Earth. Is there a risk that anthropogenic global warming could kick the Earth into a runaway greenhouse state? Almost certainly not.

And if you disagree with the above, consider that the earth's CO2 levels millions of years ago were 4x to 18x higher (depending on which source you use) and we never reached a Venus like state. And even more telling, those CO2 levels fluctuated such that (for the most part) when they were low, temps were higher and when they were high, temps were lower.
You can also take a look at ice core graphs of temp and CO2. What you'll find out is that the temp starts rising hundreds of years before CO2 starts rising. And the temperature starts dropping hundreds of years before the CO2 starts dropping even though the CO2 with it's awesome warming power is much higher. This indicates that there could be something more powerful driving the global temperature than a trace gas.

How many enviro gloom-and-doom scenarios have come true so far and how many haven't? I think you'll find that most haven't come true.
And since you hate capitalists, what kind of government should be we under and how should be 'adjust' our lives so that we aren't screwing up the earth?
