Re: China to receive US $ and Tech for climate change

How many enviro gloom-and-doom scenarios have come true so far and how many haven't? I think you'll find that most haven't come true.
Not every hypothosis put forward has panned out the way it was thought it would be given the data that was available at the time. As more research and more data becomes available it becomes more clear that humanity is changing the climate and not for the better. There are multiple agencies, scientist groups, climatologists, quite a few other educated people who agree with this conclusion. Just because the sky hasnt fallen and the world hasnt been destroyed yet does not mean that people should live irresponsibly or in a manner unfriendly to the environment. It is the responsibility of every responsible human on the planet to do their part to reduce their carbon footprint, and environmental impact to the minimum they can. Ther Goddess gives us the gift of each and every day on thsi world and how does humanity repay her? We pollute and destroy and create more filth and trash and shit int he nest like idiots each and every day.

And since you hate capitalists, what kind of government should be we under and how should be 'adjust' our lives so that we aren't screwing up the earth?
Well a strong centralized government that places the needs of the many first. That takes a holistic view of society and the earth. Call it communist, call it socialist it would have elements of both. People would place profits and pollution and all the other negatives much much lower.

As for what can be done. Increase mass transit, increase green alternatives. Solar power, wind power, make reduce, reuse, recycle mandatory. reduce useless consumption of wasteful materials. Make companies that use wasteful packaging pay through the bloody nose. Live a simpler more fulfilling and less greedy selfish and disgusting life.
