In the end the question remains. Do we want to allow someone other then ourselves dictate what we do behind closed doors? Responsible independent adults will say "no". Irresponsible adults who need the government to complete their World and need the government to financially carry them from cradle to grave have given up their independence anyway, so here is what I propose: A new bill (since they love writing new bills so much in Washington) that retains the old "drug war" mentality and penalties, but only for those who need Federal assistance to live. They can call it the "My house, my rules" bill. So, as long as the Federal government foots your tab and you live under the wing of the federal government you will have to live by the governments drug rules. But, as soon as you "move out" so to speak, when you become a responsible adult and move out from under the federal wing and start paying your own bills, with proof of insurance....then those drug laws will not apply to you.
A bill such as this will satisfy everyone. Responsible independent adults will be allowed to BE "Responsible independent adults" and the Federal government will still have their "children who live by their rules while they live under their roof"......can I get a co-sponsor?
