Well, sure, the OP is full of crap. This "media" he refers to are actually a bunch of pundits and commentators. Calling them "media" implies that they are journalists which they are not; there is really very little true "right wing media" in the sense of a journalistic fact based news source without a liberal bias.

Never the less, these neo-conservative radio and tv talkers are not doing anyone but themselves any good any more. They may have a certain base of people who still enjoy listening to them, but indeed they do seem to be becoming more extreme in their rhetoric in recent months at precisely the time "the right" as such it might be called needs desperately to change its image in a more positive and constructive way. That doesn't mean becoming liberal on issues, but in tone. The mainstream [liberal] media, the DNC, and various other groups have been very succesful in making "the right" as such it might be called look like a bunch of [their words] inbred hillbillies and mentally unstable lunatics and buffoons. These shows carrying on exactly in this manner doesn't exactly change this perception. Its almost as though these shows are trying to engrain this stereotype all the more.

The best thing would be the entire crop of these neo-conservative hosts to be replaced by sensible, moderate in tone voices that can point out the real extremism that the adminstration is implimenting in terms of its policies on a range of issues.
