Thats not the predictions I've heard the MET Office (UK) has predicted between 2-6C warming around the globe in the next 100 years, they don't think we can keep it under 3C though. Thats a huge, huge change, especally in the more finely balanced areas of the world where just a 1 or 2C change is enough to cause catastrophy.
