Of course parents are responsible for their children. But a parent has many tasks and cannot always be present with their child, that is unless they choose to live on welfare and live in the projects, which in and of itself opens up another kind of victimization. By your post, it would seen that you think if someone rapes a child that is quite OK because the parent wasn't at his/her side.

The woman who did this KNEW who she was talking to and that it was a child. I think the outcome of this case is a travesty.
The internet has opened up new avenues for predatory behavior. At least this woman made headlines, and I certainly hope that the community at large will punish her even if the courts do not.
