Re: Sarah Palin's Gonna Resign from Her 1st Term As Governor...
Palin has strong support inside the GOP, but the independent voter is where she cratered in 2008, and this has done nothing to help her with the independent voter. Things are tough for 49 other governors right now, they are raising taxes, cutting spending, and taking a beating in the media, but they are doing the job they were elected to do.
Palin returned to Alaska after the election and got into fights with just about the whole political establishment there and now she has added "QUITTER" to her brief resume.
Her speaking style is disjointed, more like a sing-song rant than a coherent message, and none of this is helping her with the independent voters that she would need to be a viable national candidate.
Think about it, she had the national stage last Friday for maybe the last time before the election cycle begins in earnest, and she rambled on without leaving a significant sound bite, there isn't anything that she said that every media outlet could pick up and play as her "message".
She is a long way from being a credible candidate, and her exposure will be limited to paid appearances before small audiences of her adoring fans, with little in the way of national coverage, because the national press does not descend on a rotary club meeting to hear someone whine about how unfairly she gets treated by the press.
Her problem is that when she gets the stage, when she gets the microphone, she doesn't do anything to help her cause.
