Re: Sarah Palin's Gonna Resign from Her 1st Term As Governor...

Sarah Palin is probably the last person I would ever vote for in a presidential election.

Regardless of whether she thinks Africa is a country, or thinks the earth is 4000 years old or whether she embezzled the materials for her home, she hasn't demonstrated any real reasons to vote for her. Even if those rumors are unfounded, she believes in creationism, doesn't handle questions well, hasn't demonstrated any real ability to think well under pressure among a myriad of other weaknesses, not the least of which she didn't really know the role of the vice president even though that was the position for which she accepted nomination. Lastly, she has proven very uncapable at quelling all of those rumors. Every presidential candidate has rumors that can sink them. Their ability to quell those rumors determines in large part whether they succeed. Reagan was teflon, GHWB came across as a 'wimp', Clinton had marital infidelity rumors (yes before his first term), GWB was a military deserter, Obama isn't a US citizen and hangs out with terrorists. Yet they all managed to overcome those rumors and win presidential elections (with some supreme court help in bush's case).

I personally consider Palin a national embarrassment. The fact that she was almost a heartbeat away from being the most powerful leader in the world shows what a farce the current political system is. Jefferson was right to hate the political party system.

The fact that she's considered a darling of the far right says just how ridiculous the GOP has become. Democrats haven't won the last few elections, republicans have lost them. Reagan is turning over in his grave right now.
