You are correct, partially.
Grace, is not exactly a way around personal change and commitment to the work of detaching oneself from the illusion of this physical plane.
Much of Life operates outside of what we can "think" about, and this Esoteric Reality is not easy to access from within oneself. It is perhaps an error to assume that one "knows" a great deal about the Reality of Life and its subtle operations by simply thinking.
