The Republican primary looks to be a nasty one. Can't wait. I'm no fan of Kay Bailey, but I think she has been underestimated. If McCain picked her the election would've been much closer.

Texas monthly magazine is also predicting a nasty race between the two.
Perry lost a lot of fans with his pushing of the Mexico-Canada trans corridor which would reselt in the largest land grab in Texas' history. (After he promised to protect us from eminent domain) Think Texans like their guns and rights? Talk to them about taking their land.
Perry and Bush came out of the same mold, neither are conservatives (IMO) The republican party in Texas is at risk, Kay BH wants to try to dust off the Reagan "big tent" (according to her).
Texas' elected republican "leaders" seem to have absolutely no interest in party building. Once again (IMO) Perry is more interested in the smoke filled room deals, KBH? I haven't her followed her show close enough to make a guesstimate.
