I don't mean to nitpick, but wasn't threatening to kill Bush a point of pride for people on the left for years? I heard way more threats against Bush than I have against Obama.
That doesn't excuse this jackass, he's a moron and deserves whatever deep and uncomfortable probative action the secret service chooses to take on him. I just feel the need to ask why you feel the need to point the finger at the right on this.
Also, when it comes to actual presidential assassination attempts since FDR, the left has a far more prolific record than the right. (See, Lee Harvey Oswald. See, Lynette 'Squeaky' Fromme. See, Sara Jane Moore.) Just sayin'...
