Yes, there are several kinds of Zionism, to be accurate, and some of them are definitely not supportable. The versions that have made immigrating to Israel a viable solution were entirely peaceful, and there isn't a lot to criticize; the problems have been with jealous, bigoted, genocidal Arabs and other Muslims.

The standards of both have dropped drastically since the massive grade inflation of the 1960's in the U.S.; I can't speak for the rest of the world's lack of critical thinking on the issues surrounding the Arabs' inability to grow up.
