Well, even in Luxembourg Junckers bid is rather seen as a coordinated attempt to bring down Blair. Very few people here believe seriously that Jean Claude Juncker ( who has just been reelected in June) wants the position in Brussels, at least now.
It is a EU habit that the first names circulating are never getting the positions for which they are nominated. Juncker has experience enough to know that. Blair probably not.
