I'm sure they have, but how often are men gang raped at high school homecomings?

The point is that women (and children of both sexes) are victims of violent crime far more than men. And women are victim of rape far more than men.

You asked what problems women and girls face more than boys and men and the fact is that violent sexual assault is one of those things.
