I have seen several hundreds, which for a critical person like me is more than enough to draw the conclusion that its a pretty fucked up mess that don't work. A lot of prosecutors and investigators in the U.S would say the same if they were critical thinking persons. Critical insight or not makes all the difference.

You've heard of hundreds of cases in the US? Well I've heard of a few in denmark and that puts us on comparatively equal footing!

I assume that the Canadian Provinces don't have their own different criminal laws and length of sentences for larger crimes, like the states in the U.S has.
I also assume that the criminal justice/court and prison system is federal like it is in Denmark, France, Sweden etc. My impression is that these systems in Canada are both effective and sympathetic and not some ineffective unsympathetic ridiculous jungle law shit as they are in the U.S.

You know in Canada and in the US, we recognize something called "self defense" unlike the ridiculous courts in europe. The Justice system in canada is based off of the british common law system (surprisingly enough) and as a result is far more similar to the US's justice system then it is to denmark or france.
And US States do have their own laws, but then again, your average state is larger then many countries in the EU. Of course thats because we unified so much earlier then europe did.
By the way, Hans Island is
ours.

Because they're canadian passports.

It only inconveniences legitimate travellers and businesses and does NOTHING to address security concerns according to the experts. Why hassle the people making 200,000,000 trips across this border every year when you're only after a handful of deviants? It makes No SENSE WHATSOEVER. It's bad policy, pure and simple. The terrorists must be laughing their heads off because they've achieved their aims at curtailing our freedoms through bone-headed legislation like this.

Oh yeah my passport is so much trouble, it's not like I didn't already use it because most of the time I'm in the airport and it tends to make things easier, Despite the fact that I have a "passport like" ID in my rear pocket in the form of a citizenship card. And thats for travelling both ways.

By the way, the one-day visitor contributes BILLIONS of dollars a year to the economies of BOTH the US and Canada.

If they only visit once in 5 years?! Like hell they do.
