Ok i'll play teacher again. You aren't allowed to donate however much money you want to a candidate. You can create a PAC (political action commitee) that's purpose is to raise money for the candidate you want to be elected. I believe the most anyone can donate directly to a candidate is 2500$
McCain-Feingold specifically targets talk radio and denies these americans their freedom of speech because they don't think it's fair that these talk show hosts have such an influence over so many people. And democrats claim the value the 1rst amendment. Well I suppose that's true as long as you say what they want you to.
