Both political parties represent first those who financed their campaigns.

Those who are paying the bills are not average Joes, since average Joes cannot afford to finance political campaigns.

Thus both parties actually place first in their priorities the priviledged class and large oragnizations that can afford to finance their campaigns.

Both parties are the same in this respect. That is who is really in charge.

Indeed selling parties during campaigns is all based on FUD. The monies collected for the campaigns is used to hoodwink voters into voting for a party, by posturing that creates the impression of being concerned about the things that concern the average Joe, while dodging the things that really concern the average Joe, such as why his purcahsing power is declining year over year, why his taxes keep going up, why it is getting harder to find an decent paying job that does not require a college education. or why his right and freedoms are constantly being erroded.

Both parties are the same in this respect.

After, getting elected either party acts as one under the threat of the party whip. Individual representation for contituencies is undermined. Since one or the other party will form a majority, this undermines the very concept of democracy.

Just as pornography has become more and more prevently and boldfaced, by increments, both parties have created an evironment that lavishes vast new wealth on the already wealthy, while destroying the middle class and reducing the purchasing power of all others.
