I don't recall saying a democratically elected leader couldn't be tried. But by the logic used there is hardly a leader of any country, state, or province who shouldn't be tried. Should we try them all, since the crimes are on par with Saddam? This is no justification for people not accepting a Saddam verdict done by due process. That is hypocritical.
