So, Obama did business with a guy who is now being prosecuted, I get that, but how does that make Obama bad? He overpaid on the 1/6th of the lot that he bought from Rezko, so it appears that Obama lost out on the deal, so how is that shady exactly? I wonder if Obama wasn't trying to make it look politically "correct" to pay 1/6th of the entire thing instead of at the discount because then people might come out and accuse him of paying a lot less than 1/6th for 1/6th of the lot? Get it. I wonder how much it cost to do the fence? I could even see if Obama was trying to figure that into the deal so that even though the law requires Rezko to pay for the fence, Obama would just add it into the price of the lot. But if that's the case, anyway you look at it, Obama's still the nice guy in the deal because HE LOST! What a non-story. After the whole "Republicans Turn Gay" theme of 2006, this story is soooo weak!

connect the dots.......obama......is crooked.....has shady real estate dealings.....with crooked lobbyist
Rezco paid Full price for the attached lot and they closed escrow on the exact same day. Obama paid 300K less than asking price. The question is why didn't Rezco get a break in the purchase price vs. the asking price?? The 2 properties are attached and the properties were sold on the same day by the same owner. Whether true or not, there is an appearance that the properties were sold in conjunction with one another and the sale price of one affected the sale price of the other. Of Course, this could just be a huge coincidence and Rezco may always pay the asking price regardless of what property is available. yeah sure.

I believe later on there should be tax increases. Speaking personally, I think there are a lot of very rich people out there whom we can tax at a point down the road and recover some of the money."
