Yes but the religious fundamentalists in the US are as a majority peaceful and out to help eliminate poverty, abuse, and immorality, not concur the world for their god. Plus the US has separation of church and state while Iran is a theocracy. Not to mention that Muslim fundamentalists believe in spreading their faith by sword if necessary. The only religion left on the planet that has not gone through an enlightenment period.
Iran is by no stretch of the imagination a peaceful country. Look at their last 50 years of history. Look at their present talks concerning the legitimacy of the holocaust. It is foolish not to take the Iranian leader at his word. He is bent on destroying Israel.
As far as Israel successfully destroying countries. Every conflict Israel has been in has been started by an Muslim nation. They have a right to defend themselves.
As far as America successfully destroying countries. What country did we destroy? Iraq? That is funny really. We sent precise missiles to take out a dictator who violated every sanction he had imposed on him by the UN. Since then we have rebuilt what we have destroyed and added schools and other infrastructure in Iraq. I hardly call that destroying a country. What other country in the planet has their military rebuild a country. Oh yea the US is bad! How dare they be such humanitarians!!!

you have a very ideal view of your country. its good to be patriotic of your country but give me a break. seperation of church and state, the right wing christian conservatives in your country have huge influence, all congressmen, senators, presidents etc must swear on the bible and almost every speech bush uses the word god. seperation odf church and state on paper maybe.
iran is a democratically elected country but i do think their leader is a nut case and they shouldnt have nuclear weapons but i also believe that bush is a retarded wacko and america or any other country shouldn't possess them either.
america has destroyed iraq, wether it be indirectly or not, and the military hasnt rebuilt shit. its private contractors like haliburton who wersupposed to rebuild but they have only takin the money and accomplished nothing. there are no roads, electricity, water, etc. this is only what ive read as ive never been to iraq. you obviously read different newspapers than i and the majority of the rest of the world.
