The fact that those accused of committing the murders AND a few that tried to cover it up are all being prosecuted PROVES that the murder of civilians isn't condoned by the military or US public. Murtha's outburst gives the defense grounds for claiming that they can't get a fair trial since he poisoned the perspective jury pool with his comments. While that doesn't affect the military trials, it certainly will become a factor if civil criminal charges are also prosecuted.
And the "truth" is exactly as I have stated. If the killing of civilians was condoned, there would be no trials. So, let's see how you attempt to spin that fact, gem.
