I have heard evidence concerning all of the information collected about Mr. Arar in Canadian investigations, and there is nothing to indicate that Mr. Arar committed an offence or that his activities constitute a threat to the security of Canada."
So, he wasn't considered a threat. But just to make sure, we'd better ship him off for a round of torture, because we all know how successful that is in getting the truth out of people.
Even if he was guilty of something, wouldn't the right thing in a country based on the Law be to put him in front of a judge? When did that little tradition get thrown out the window? And before someone goes "He wasn't a US citizen, so shoot him" just think about it... is that really what you people want? A society where people get their punishment before having been found guilty of anything?
