Well, no, actually what I did was read the information about the Nobel Peace Prize that you posted - you know, the parts about "global concerns" and "new concerns"?

Since they never defined "peace", and since they have interpreted "peace" ever more broadly, it doesn't seem to me that I or anyone else needs to be working on the argument about how "warming" correlates with "peace".

Good point. I have nothing to do with how people are nominated for what awards, but perhaps the thinking was that, since Gore didn't work in or develop anything in the sciences, but rather, has been instrumental in spreading the word about global warming, that a strictly science type of award would not be appropriate. But that's just a guess.
