In simple terms, if President Bush's approval numbers go up to around 50 again, then Newt's in.

What does Bush's low approval rating have to do with Gingrich running or not? If anything, Gingrich has been the anti-Bush in the GOP. He has been heavily critical of many things the Bush Administration has done. Bush's approval rating is a non-factor in Newt's decision to run. His decision will come down to whether or not there is a credible conservative in the race.
