that was another mission that i was on that was very sad. seeing those men on the litters when we landed and watching them being loaded onto our helicopters was extremely difficult. when we got there, there were three patients from that accident, and they looked fine besides being unconcious and all wet and muddy. there weren't any visible wounds, they just couldn't get out of the Humvee in time. The medics on that mission (there were two on two blackhawks) thought one of the men who passed away was going to survive, but the hypothermia got him eventually.

december was just a rough month for us. another mission i was on on christmas day was having to go pick up CPT Clayton. ( i don't know there names until afterwards usually). anyways, i remember feeling very happy because my crew thought that we had saved him on christmas day, but apparently he passed away from complications later.

if you guys think my commenting is inappropriate i'll cease, but i'm just trying to share some of my experiences over here.
