I think America really wants the Democratic Party in power a lot of the time, but then they go out and campaign like sissies while the other side plays to win. Elections should be treated like streetfights. I doubt current polls about where people stand on either party. I think both parties are around 45% strong while about 10% is undecided. I don't really think things have changed too much since the 2000 elections. The next contest will probably be within the 3 or 4% margin, just like the last few elections. It's the Democrats' to lose, they've got in the palm of their hands that block of independent voters who are pissed with Bush but who voted for him in 2000 and then stuck with him with reservation in 2004.
