Of course it's a big deal. This indicates that North Korea might have been in the business of counterfeiting US currency. Inserting lots of counterfeit bills in the economy is not a good thing for the US. They could have counterfeited billions of dollars for all we know.
In addition, why didn't the UN report this back when it first got the fake money? Was it to protect a communist regime? This thought crosses my mind as some of the UN's founders were communists.
