Re: Yet another UN Scandal

Jotathought, you say the UN has been involved in "some of the most lucrative scandals in history"? I tried to do a quick google search, because I thought it would be cool to find a list of "the most lucrative scandals in history" but all I really found were mentions of a company that runs a lot of lottery games, Enron, and no bid contracts to US companies in Iraq like Halliburton and Blackwater.

Institutionalized circumvention of the free market system due to rampant cronysm resulting in the loss of billions of dollars -- money set aside to win a war against terrorism -- to companies that avoid oversight or accountability and get away with murder, I would call that one of the most lucrative scandals in history. Some thousands of counterfeit money? Well... Duh, it's bad. We should certainly allocated a worthy percentage of our available give-a-shit. How about 2 percent?

Here it is: There should be an inquest as to why this wasn't reported and who was responsible.
