The 2006 election was indicative of people's distrust of government, republicans getting away from their conservative ideals, and the willingness/skill of the democrats as it pertains to dishonest political attacks such as lumping all republicans in with people like Mark Foley. Democrats most certainly did not win the battle of ideals.
