I’d say it’s ill-advised to count Fred Thompson out before you see how he interacts with the American public. He
didn’t want to run out, mostly of respect for McCain. Since it looks like McCain won’t fair too well against the Democrats top contenders, he is reconsidering. He’s expected to make an announcement on May 4 at an appearance at the 45th annual dinner of the Lincoln Club of Orange County in Southern California.
