You shouldn't hate him. He thought he was going to fight the Taliban in Afghanistan. Then, he got shipped to Iraq instead. By the time he finally got to Afghanistan he was quite jaded, but as you know, you just can't up & quit the Army just because you disagree with your deployment.
So he did the honorable thing, and soldiered on, knowing damn good & well that W.'s administration was a farce. I think he just learned his lesson too late. That is the true travesty; a bunch of patriotic men & women signed up for one war in Afghanistan & instead got deceived & sent to protect oil wells in Iraq to enrich W.'s buddies. . .
