Neither do I re: Pvt. Lynch. I do remember hearing about a fellow soldier who fought off ambushers, killing a few, until he ran out of ammo and was captured. I never heard about any similar heroics by Pvt. Lynch. I do believe the Army left out the part of the story about getting help finding Lynch from friendly Iraqi medical personnel, but that doesn't seem like such a big deal.

As for the handling of the Tillman matter ... That is completely fucked up. His family deserved to know the truth.
