They had twenty three years for creating Estonian statues before Stalin took back what Lenin's given away. It's interesting question - how many statues did they manage to create in that period. I hope you understand that all other really old statues were built in Tsar's Russia, where these lands were province at least 300 years. Notwithstanding on that their fate is either unclear.
Estonian police hides the body and doesn't leave relatives to visit and survey it for vague and unconfident reasons. All that makes the situation suspicious about police. We all were watching the Euronews, so it's easy to imagine what happened. When police is hurling and tramping the bodies of demonstrants like that, it could have been a spike of the metal fence or something.
