Made much more fun to give to some children in the GDR in this times some oranges or chocolate and to take the risk to be arrested because of this crime.
In this times it was allowed to drive 50-60 mph in the GDR - now you can drive 120-160 mph if you like. And this is a kind of freedom everyone can feel and lots of people don't like to miss it.
By the way: My car needs 5.2 liter per 100 km (about 2,22 Gallons per 100 miles) and it is able to do 100 mph - but I like cars that are able to do 160 mph and more.
