Re: Who do you support in the final round of the French presidential election?

No sorry.

The measures are the following (the ones I can remember) :

- Suppression of the inheritance tax on houses - but that's only 20% of the French who are concerned since 80% do not pay inheritance taxes in the first place ...

- Higher VAT in order to finance social costs
(VAT as an indirect tax weights proportionally more on lower incomes than on higher ones.)

- Lower "bouclier fiscal" - at 50% instead of 60% at the moment.

- Introduction of a flat rate for health care
Again one of these measures which weights relatively more on lower than on higher incomes

- Lower interests rates for mortgage
That's nice if you have the capital to buy a house in the first place.

By the way renting has some advantages, it's a personal choice which may correspond to a way of life - but it's only worthwhile if the rents are low/ accessible.
