absolutely. child health experts recommend children don't have cow's milk until they are 12 months old - their stomachs can't cope well with it.
most milk formulas are cows milk based, and while they are specially adapted - there are still some differences. bottle fed babies are more prone to constipation and foul smelling faeces, and more prone to long term health problems ... including obesity.
in addition - the use of milk formulas instead of breastfeeding, which was encouraged by nestles in the seventies in many third world countries - led to a sharp increase in infant mortality.
then there's convenience. Shit. why any mother would want to bottle feed and have to go through all that bullshit with mixing formulas, sterilising bottles, worrying about the temperature of the milk .... creating a rod for your own back if you ask me.
