Re: Who do you support in the final round of the French presidential election?
Well, even in Sydney, Australia, there is a high interest in the French elections. As I hold dual Australian and French citizenship, I can vote in Presidential elections. When the first round took place a couple of weeks ago, the queue outside the building where the French Consulate is located in Sydney was very long, stretching the whole street and round the corner, and it took two hours before it was our turn to go up to the 26th floor of the building and vote. Tomorrow we go to vote in the second round. So I will vote for Segolene Royal because her general platform is the closest to my own views. Some may think it is wrong or odd that someone living in Australia should have a say in the French elections. The way I see things, who becomes the President of a nation has an impact in the sphere of international affairs. So I might as well make my vote count.
