It is rediculus to attach timelines or performance measurements to war funding. I suspect we will need to remain in Iraq for years to come, we cannot allow funding to be an impediment to our noble cause.

The premise is noble but so would attacking China. Would you support such an endeavor to free the non-free Chinese population from their oppressive government? Of course not. The amount of violence that would ensue would not be worth it for the Chinese.
There are noble causes in this world that have to come to be realized on their own. Iraq was one of them.
