More overweight than hungry people?

Sheesh! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/4793455.stm

More overweight than hungry people...just what does that say about the world at large? If you sit down and eat a super-sized fast food combo you could potentially consume all of the necessary calories you need for a day in a single meal.
Government regulation can never replace responsible people making smart choices.

Re: More overweight than hungry people?

One could look at this optimistically and say that it is great that there are not as many starving people as there could be.

Re: More overweight than hungry people?

Well, I don't see much optimism here. The main point of the article wasn't that hungry people numbers are necesarrily decreasing, but that overweight population is increasing.
